Being a worldwide leader in the sustainable production of marine products and therefore further developing Northern Chile, projecting our work to international markets in commercializing high value foods products, fully satisfying and highly commiting ourselves to the needs of our customers.
CORPESCA is the largest fishing company in Chile and one of the most important worldwide. It accounts for around 25% of the total catches in the country. The company`s average fishmeal production is 170,000 metric tons a year, which represents 5.5% of the global exports of this product. It´s average fish oil production is 15,000 tons a year. Volume and quality give CORPESCA a sound global market position, which is based on hi-tech processes and highly skilled personnel.

QUALITY
CORPESCA has a strict and comprehensive quality assurance program, which ranges from fishing to the production process, including final product handling and dispatch. The outcome of this program is prime quality fishmeal with a high protein content, optimal digestibility, low levels of biogenic amines (especially histamine) and a low percentage of free fatty acids, among others.
The company has a quality assurance program based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) at all its fishmeal and fish oil plants, certified by Sernapesca, the top Chilean authority in the fishing sector, aiming to guarantee production free of any contaminants, including salmonella. The frozen seafood plant in Iquique also has a HACCP-based quality assurance program certified by Sernapesca.
CORPESCA has the international GMP B2 quality certification for its plant in Arica from Holland’s Product Board of Animal Feed (PDV), being the first Chilean company to secure this important quality certification. All the plants also have a permit to export fishmeal to the People’s Republic of China. CORPESCA is thereby renowned as a highly reliable supplier, able to meet its volume, delivery and quality commitments with its customers worldwide.
