Created in 1853, the Chancerelle Company is still a family business in Brittany, one of the main marine regions of France. We mainly produce our products in France in our 2 plants in Douarnenez where we employ 320 workers.

Our brand Connétable : fine food – fine seafood
We offer a wide range of canned fish: sardines, mackerels, white tuna, salmon, trout… All the main best-sellers are prepared specifically for our customers. We believe that our premium quality is our main difference compared to the existing products on the market. We are IFS (International Food Standard) and offer quality products with the official Label Rouge certification.
Chancerelle : Involved in sustainable canned fish

In 2007, Chancerelle was the first canning company in France to be MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified.

“The MSC’s fishery certification program and seafood ecolabel recognise and reward sustainable fishing. The Marine Stewardship Council is a global organization working with fisheries, seafood companies, scientists, conservation groups and the public to promote the best environmental choice in seafood”.

The brand awareness of Connétable in France is very high with an image of premium quality. Each year, we better our market shares encouraging  our teams to continue their efforts on quality and taste. We are proud to export our products to various countries in the world like: Europe (Western and Eastern), Russia, Japan, China, New Zealand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Usa and other countries. Our customers are part of the hundreds of millions of Gourmets who enjoy having a healthy, delicate and tasty product.

Export organization
Our export department will help you with all the specific documents you could need. Cardboard over-cases have been specially designed to protect our products during long transport. We have a long experience and consider that it is part of the full service offered to our partners and customers. Our minimum delivery is one mixed pallet (3 000 to 5 000 cans). Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver single customers.
