Our Company (Vision, Mission, Values)
FoodCorp S.A. is a Company with a large tradition in the fishing industry. All its resources are caught from the rich and pure Chilean waters by a modern fleet of purse seiner vessels. Since the end of the ‘80s, the Company focused its activity in the production of fishmeal, fishoil and canned fish. Frozen fish was added to the Company portfolio in 2006.

With the support of Norwegian capitals from Austevoll Seafood ASA, FoodCorp S.A. is one of the best and most relevant actors in the fishing industry of the Centre – South of Chile. In its role as a leading Company, Foodcorp has special concern in the sustainability of our fish, supporting actively research and environmental improvement activities. A recognized leadership in the industry has been achieved through ongoing social responsibility programs, the application of good neighbour principles and by being the first fishing Company in Chile to suscribe the commitment to United Nation’s Global compact.

LOCATION:
The main operation is located in the bay of Coronel, 500 kilometers south of the Chilean capital city, Santiago. For this type of fishing activity, FoodCorp S.A. is in a privileged area, due to the richness and variety of its sea resources and strategical geographical location, in a region that offers highly developed ports, good highway network, industrial infrastructure and stable commercial growth.

Products:

Frozen Fish
This new fish processing plant and freezing facility, managed by an experienced team,allows FoodCorp S.A. to offer the best fish products to comply with the requirements of our most demanding customers..

Canned Fish
The canning plant also is located in the bay of Coronel. It has beed constantly upgraded in order to offer the best canned pelagic fish, supported by more than 20 years of experience.

Fishmeal & Fishoil
Two fishmeal and fishoil plants operate with a steam drying system and the most advanced technology available, efficiently delivering fish protein products according to exact client specifications.

Exports: Shipped in 20’ ocean dry cargo containers. Loaded in 25 or 50 kilo bags, 1 Ton maxi bags or full pack, according to customer’s requirements.

In our quality control laboratories, a highly specialised crew develops a continuous research and sampling from the moment of capture in the fishing ground through the whole value chain of the different products offered to our clients, in order to comply with FoodCorp’s strict quality standards.

Health and food authorities from all our destination markets have approved our exhaustive control systems, allowing us to offer products that are superior in quality, health, taste and freshness.
