Conservas Daporta, S.L. was created in 1940 as a familiar enterprise. At the beginning it used to can, mainly, sardines, tuna and Atlantic mackerel. As time went by, and due to the changes in consumer´s preferences, the company has been adapted to the new market tendencies, focusing its production to canned fresh seafood from the Galician Estatuaries, but always keeping traditional production lines for fish.
Involved in a constant improvement
Conservas Daporta, S.L.has been always engaged to a constant optimization and updating of its processes. Since 1950 it is a member of ANFACO (Spanish Fish and Seafood Canners Association) and it is adapted to the European Normative in subjects as hygiene, security, etc.
Means at quality service
The headquarters are in an area of 1.400 m², divided in the three sections:
– Reception and transformation of daily fresh seafood.
– Selecting, pack up and sealing.
– torage and casing of the final product.
Marketing on the rise
The marketing of our products is done under the following trademarks: Daporta, A Chave, El Marino and Río Umia; distributed in delicatessen shops, and hotel catering trade.
FOOD CANNED
The elaboration of our seafood, blue fish and cephalopods conserves is taken in our wide and prepared fabrication unit, which has been in a constant evolution for 65 years. Our staff consists of loyal employees and professionals with years of experience, helped by the highest tecnology distributed in 1.500 m². Our modern laboratory is in charge of controlling the compliance with the strict sanitary and quality guidelines with warrant the fulfilment of valid state and European normative.
The cans that we present our seafood, blue fish and cephalopods are easy-opening so there is no kind of risk for health and it also avoids the sauce to sprinckle; they are presented in different formatswith a discret butalso stylish case.
Seafoods
Shellfish has traditionally been the supreme speciality of Conservas Daporta, not only for its careful and meticulous manufacture, but also in great measuredue tothe excellent raw material used, from de rich Galician Coast Sea.
Shellfish such as clams, cockles, mussels, razor fish markets or scallops, are directly bought at the most prestigious fish markets spotted in the different ports of Galician Mouths of Rivers.
Conservas Daporta, personally and without intermediates, selects and chooses de biggest and with most quality product during the recollection campaign (from September to November), and therefore having its production limited to a fex hundred of cans.
Blue Fish
The family of blue fish includes species like sardine, frigate mackerel, white tuna, bonito or Atlantic mackerel, which, once canned, keep their nutritional and flavour qualities intact.
Conservas Daporta purchases the fish personally and without intermediates in the most prestigious fish markets from the best fishing ports in the world, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and also the Mediterranean Sea.
Cephalopods
The cephalopods such as squid, cuttle-fish or octopus from Conservas Daporta have a special prestige, not only for its careful and meticulous manufacture but also in great measure due to the excellent raw material used, bought and selected without intermediates in the best Galician fish markets.
