Xiamen Gulong Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. is an integrated state-owned foreign trade enterprise affiliated to Xiamen Light Industry Group Co., Ltd. Since its foundation in 1994, the Company has been implementing an operating strategy which is focused on import and export and combines industrial production with trading. The Company primarily deals in “Gulong”-brand product series produced by Xiamen Gulong Food Co., Ltd. (formerly Xiamen Cannery, export code Q2), and also acts as an agent for import and export business in and outside Fujian Province. By combining industrial production with international trade, the Company has turned in an impressive performance in a diversity of industries, such as food cannery, light industrial products, building materials and chemical raw materials. So far, the Company has developed positive business ties with hundreds of manufacturers in China, with trade partners in 80-plus countries and regions across the globe. The “Gulong” brand has been registered in 54 countries and regions.

In Hong Kong, Macao, the Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the European Union, the Central Asia, Chile, Peru and island nations in the Pacific, the Company operates efficient marketing systems and after-sales service outlets. “Gulong” is rapidly emerging as a leading brand in the international market for canned food. In January 2005, the “Gulong” brand was designated by the Ministry of Commerce as a “Chinese Export Brand for Priority Cultivation and Development in 2005-2006”, making Gulong the only “Famous Chinese Export Brand” in China’s food cannery industry. In September 2005, “Gulong” canned pork was rated by the National Quality Inspection Bureau as a “Renowned Chinese Trademark”. In December 2005, “Gulong” was accredited by the State Administration for Industry & Commerce as a “China Top Brand”. In June 2001, the Company was granted the “release first, duty later” management distinction by Xiamen Customs. Over the years, the Company has received numerous other honorary titles, notably “enterprise with a tax credit rating of A” and “distinguished Xiamen enterprise in the penetration of the export market”. The Company maintains long-term steady credit relationship with banks and is treated by banks as a key credit target. In 2006, the Company’s total value of imports and exports reached USD 83.18 million, including exports of USD 19.22 million worth of Gulong brand canned food.
