Ocean Choice International (OCI) is a proud Atlantic Canadian company. Our management team has decades of experience in the seafood business and has helped grow our company to be one of the leaders in the Canadian fishing industry. While our roots are in Newfoundland and Labrador we have a strong connection throughout the Atlantic Provinces, with operations in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

A fully vertically integrated company, OCI is one of the largest seafood quota holders in the country and offers the widest variety of species to our customers, including snow crab, lobster, coldwater shrimp, scallops, Atlantic cod, flounder & sole, redfish, Greenland halibut, mackerel and capelin.
Our commitment to ocean conservation is of the highest importance to us and we have worked tirelessly with government, research scientists, and other stakeholders to help conserve and grow the seafood resources that sustain us. We are proud that our efforts have led to the rebuilding of some stocks, such as yellowtail flounder, and better management of many others. HACCP – is a systematic preventive approach food safety that addresses physical, chemical and biological hazards as a means of prevention rather than finished product inspection. HACCP is used in the food industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized.
QMP – The Quality Management Program (QMP) is a regulatory-based system that requires all federally registered fish processing plants in Canada to develop and implement an in-plant quality control program.
BRC – The BRC Global Standards are a leading global product safety and quality certification program.
