Company founded in 1997 by RICARDO FUENTES E HIJOS, S.A.
Activity
This company arose with the purpose of covering the shortage of refrigeration space in the region, being one of hte most important undertakings of Ricardo Fuentes e Hijos, S.A. as the leading company in the processing of high-quality fish.
Its facilities include eleven chambers with a capacity of 60,000 m3 (9,400 m3 for hte maintenance of products frozen at -60C). In the year 2000 invested in the installation of a freezing tunnel with an interior temperature of -70C and a capacity of 20Tm, in order to repalce the “blast freezer” units.
In 2002, Frigorificos de Tunidos, faithful to its marked investing nature, inaugurated two new freezing chambers, thus doubling its previous total capacity (30,000m3), and reaching a total of capacity 60,000 m3.
The activity it is carrying out is that of freezing and conserving fish and other foodstuffs in refrigeration chambers, as well as leasing these chambers to third parties. It is also involved in the marketing, importing and exporting of products related to fishing (squid, bonito, sardine, etc.), acting as a clear reference in the region for hte marketing of fish.
