Far West brand scallops are renowned for their premium quality.We operate our own boats and fish for the Southern Saucer Scallops (Amusium balloti) in the waters of Shark Bay, the Abrolhos Islands and the South Coast of Western Australia.

We supply Saucer Scallops (Amusium balloti) throughout Australia and Asia.
Far West Scallops owns and operates its own fleet of boats and a modern factory. This means we control how the scallops are handled from catch to delivery. And, because we specialise in scallops, we are able to provide superior quality and handling procedures, ensuring superior taste and freshness.
We have 6 dedicated scallop fishing trawlers and a modern factory in Hamilton Hill, where most scallops caught in Western Australia are processed.

About Our Scallops
Far West Scallops fishes for and processes the Southern Saucer Scallop (Latin name: Amusium balloti), which is unique to Australia. The Southern Saucer scallop is found off the coast of much of Western Australia including in the pristine waters of the Abrolhos Islands, Shark Bay, and Western Australia’s South Coast where our fleet of boats operate.
The Most Prized Species in Asia
In Asian markets, our scallops are considered a delicacy and are highly prized and valued for their sweet taste and firm texture.
The season generally extends from March to July (depending on the catch), and our Southern Saucer Scallops are available from April onwards.
‘Far West’ scallops are available as follows:
