LOCATION
The Clarence River Fishermen’s Co-operative (CRFC) has processing and product receival depots located in the townships of Maclean and Iluka. All our facilities are located within 3 hours South of Brisbane and 7 hours North of Sydney.
The Maclean Depot is located on the banks of the mighty Clarence River at 51-55 River Street, one of the largest river systems in New South Wales. Maclean is a small historic township famous for its quaint buildings and annual Scottish Highlander Festival. The CRFCMarine Chandlery is also located onsite at our Maclean Depot.
The Iluka Depot is located near the entrance of the Clarence River where is meets the Pacific Ocean. Iluka is a small and popular fishing village famous for its beach 4 wheel drive beaches, wonderful camping grounds at Woody Head and world class Bundjalung National Park. At the Iluka Depot you will also find our Seafood Retail Outlet and mooring facilities.
Yamba’s reputation as Australia’s No.1 town can be attributed to its laid back fishing village atmosphere. On entering the town visitors are greeted by the CRFC fishing fleet moored at our Yamba Boat Harbour facility. The industry is proud of its association with Yamba’s reputation as being a place of the freshest seafood, pristine beaches and friendly community. Fresh seafood direct from our members can be purchased at our Seafood Retail Outlet located at 15 Yamba Road.
From natures most pristine estuary and oceans Clarence River Fishermen’s Co-operative (CRFC) members harvest an array of commercial seafoods species that appeal to seafood lovers around the globe.
From domestic wholesale supplies to our established export network our sales team can assist you to secure the very finest products including our;

• whole fresh or filleted range of fish including snapper, bream, flathead, shark, emperor, tuna, salmon, cod and many more.

• specialty products such as lobster, squid, clams, roe Since it’s incorporation in 1945 the CRFC has well earned its reputation as one of Australia’s most consistent suppliers of quality seafood products.
Our retail outlets located in Yamba and Iluka provide the local and tourism market with fresh competitively priced locally caught seafood all year round.

Members of the public are also welcome to shop at our marine chandlery located at the Maclean CRFC Depot (51-55 River St). Our friendly staff have decades of knowledge and experience in all your local fishing nee ds. From netting, crab pots, safety equipment to competitive fuel prices.
Accreditation and Certificates
The CRFC has in place stringent internal and external control measures to ensure our seafood products maintain quality and freshness from the moment they are caught on board our member’s boats to the moment they are delivered to our customers.
All our members hold NSW Safefood Licenses. Members who supply whole whiting for our export market also have an additional certification as an ‘Approved Supplier’ for our HACCP, Woolworths and AQIS certifications.
Both CRFC depots located at Iluka and Maclean are licensed under the HACC P System Certification to conduct the following activities – for the receival, processing, storage and distribution of chilled and frozen seafood. The HACC P Australia Food Safety Accreditation provides a recognised endorsement of food safety excellence across the food industry. This endorsement offers assurance to the stringent food safety program undertaken at Clarence River Fishermen’s Co-operative facilities.
Our export facilities at Iluka are also registered with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (Australian)
Quarantine and Inspection Service or AQIS ) to conduct the following activities – production, processing, packing, freezing, storing of products to be exported.
The CRFC has been certified under the Woolworths Quality Assurance (WQS) Standard for the following products – seafood crustacean cooked fresh, seafood crustaceans cooked frozen, seafood crustaceans raw frozen, seafood fresh fish fillet, seafood frozen fish fillet.
Under the NSW Food Authority the CRFC is licensed and complies with the Food Standards Code, implements, maintains
and complies with a Food Safety Program adhering to HACCP. CRFC transport vehicles are also licensed and comply with the Food Standards Code.
The CRFC is a Registered Fish Receiver (Iluka/Maclean) as licensed by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and holds a Fish Receiver Permit as provided by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (Iluka/Maclean).
