Accolades: An Acknowledgement of Quality
Being involved the food industry, adherence to international safety. Hygiene and quality standards are vital and we, the CAB Group, have worked towards acquiring some of the industry’s major supplier, vendor and quality certifications including the halal mark, an endorsement by the United States Army Veterinary Services, the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) accreditation and the Malaysian Veterinary Health mark.
Besides having the quality of our products and standard of our facilities verified by international panels of experts through rigorous inspections and examinations programmes, the companies under the CAB Group have also garnered several accolades including the American Tasting Institute Gold Award, the Superbrands Malaysia Award and the Best International Local Franchisor Award.
The Malaysian chapter of Superbrands was incepted in late 2000, promoting not only international brands, but also renowned home grown brands. The selection of Superbrands is based on rigid criteria, i.e. Market Dominance, Customer Loyalty, Brand Longevity, Market Acceptance and Goodwill.
BRC Global Standard
Formulated by the British Retail Consortium in collaboration with food manufacturers, certification bodies and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), the BRC Global Standard is internationally recognised to the Global Safety Initiative and assists consumers of food products in their legal obligations, protecting the consumer by providing a common basis for the certification of F&B related companies.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) in the food industry utilises a systematic approach to identify potential food safety hazards and ensure that necessary precautions are taken to reduce or eliminate the risks of these hazards materialising. Employing seven established principles, this method encompasses all stages of the food production and preparation processes.
The Halal certification recognises that all stages of the production of CAB food products meet the Islamic criteria and are therefore permissible to be consumed by Muslims according to the Islamic law.
CAB Group was awarded Industry Achievement Award Organisation and Most Popular Booth during the Livestock Asia Expo & Forum 2007 held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in October 2007.
