Our Norway King Crab AS’ vision is to be a leading producer of live king crab and to provide year-round supply.

Products
Our major product is alive King crab. The crabs are caught by only small coastal boats which catch them delicately and transport alive to ashore facilities. Time used from catch area to the packing station is very short, as a rule less than 2 hours. Once landed, each crab is being inspected for quality, weighed and given the personal Identity badge with bar code which via scanning into our packing program, lets register each individual for its further tracking and tracing from the moment the crab is packed to its delivery to the customer.

Packing facility
Our packing station is being provided with fresh and cold Arctic water from the depths of the Barents Sea, thus ensuring optimal, secure and wildlife protective storing of crabs. Prior packing all crabs go again through survival capability and quality control, and as may be required, other measures are undertaken to secure the best possible transportation.

Certification
Norway King Crab AS is the only producer of king crab in the world certified as Friends of the Sea. This proves our high standards through the whole scope of activities from sustainable resource use and their secure tracking to animal welfare and environmental aspects.
