About Naajaq Seafood
More than 25 years experience in fine seafood
High quality, environmental obligation and health and safety responsibility are an integral part of the Company’s strategy. The business was founded in 1984 as a prawn processing factory by independent fishermen. In 1992 Naajaq Seafood joined the Polar Group and today is a state of the art factory producing a wide range of frozen and brined seafood products.
Our coldwater prawns are caught in the icy waters off the Greenland coasts and are carefully processed at Polar Raajat, which are located on the West coast of Greenland. Repacking and trading takes place from our site in Esbjerg.

Our expertise, experience and flexibility to new ideas enable us to take on new projects whilst working in close collaboration with our customers. Food safety and Quality
Food safety and quality is essential to the way we work and produce our products. The laboratory continuously monitors the quality and safety of our products, following the latest control systems and analysing techniques to ensure that all products meet the highest quality and microbiology standards.
Our laboratory is approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and works according to the principles of Good Laboratory Praxis. The laboratory participates regularly in inter-calibration tests with accredited laboratories. We have an incorporated system, which provides full traceability from raw material to finished product.
To support our high standard the factory is BRC and IFS certified and has an approved HACCP system.
Naajaq Seafood A /S is a strong supplier of a wide range of high quality chilled and frozen products. We have the capability to pack products in own brand as well as customer’s own brand. Integrated processes and procedures ensure that products are always of high quality that meets all current hygiene requirements and European legislation.
