Our Company
Geomar was founded in 1993 and one year after the operation began, we started our first processing plant for canned seafood in Concepción. In 2001, the company invested in a new plant with advanced technology in order to supply new markets and increasing quality and production capacity.
The shellfish are shucked, cleaned and sorted by hand, ensuring the consumer a quality product.
Our facility operates under the HACCP system which has been certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA, number 10210884682) and the European Community (EC number 08318); this guarantees the origin, process and quality of our products. In 2008 we also obtained the exclusive BRC certification (British Retail Consortium), which allows us to meet the highest standards of safety and quality in our products and processes.
