History of Canned Hoya
The company CANNED HOYA was founded in 1940 by Don Tomas Hedilla Hoya, enterprising and tenacious man in those difficult years raised the first of the four factories from then until now have made our company and its brand one of the World famous within the semi-preserved anchovies sector.
Now managed by the third generation with modern and advanced facilities, CANNED HOYA faces this new century with the challenge of becoming also a leader in the field of canned tuna and pretty.
CANNED HOYA has highly automated canning tuna in a wide variety of formats lines.
The more than 6,000 m2 of warehouse built below sea level, along with over 12,500 m2 of facilities make CANNED HOYA one company in its sector, its storage capacity and the excellent environmental conditions that allow optimal and uniform ripening salting.
The anchovy or sardine, from the freshest catch of the Cantabrian Sea, remains maturing in barrels at least seven months to reach its aroma, flavor, odor. The modern design of our spacious facilities, we can achieve high capacity in excellent conditions of hygiene, despite remaining a process of craftsmanship.
Our products are subjected to rigorous quality control in house and external laboratories to ensure the total satisfaction of our clients, providing quality certification Efsis.
