AGROPESCA S.A., established on 15 July 1988, is located in the city of Arica, in the extreme north of Chile, and has been dedicated for more than 20 years to the best elaboration of sea food.
It has been a long way and one of much patience; the knowledge passed on by great European Mediterranean experts, the exceptional climatological conditions in Arica and the proximity of catching zones have brought Agropesca cabal knowledge of the Engraulis Ringens which has led to the best anchovy fillets.
Nowadays, we have the perfect combination of artisanal quality, use of the best machine and equipment technologies and production programmes under quality norms that protect each step of the process, which enables us to achieve real knowledge of traceability and ensure food safety of the end product.
The white Anchovy developed by Agropesca over the last years, has complemented our offer and added to the anchovy fillets in oil, they allow us to be present in markets as divers and demanding as Spain, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, etc. with own-brands or developing private brands in accordance with the requirements of our clients.

The current catch conditions for anchovy in the world, have forced Agropesca to extend its raw material buying capacity. At present we have, besides our plant in Arica, a plant in Calbuco, 3000 km south of Arica and another one in Chimbote, Peru, 2000 km north of Arica, and thus cover 5,000 km of the Pacific coast. We therefore manage to have permanent stock and can ensure our clients fulfillment of our delivery commitments.
Agropesca S.A. carries out all its production processes under the HACCP quality norm, ensuring our clients and final consumers quality standards that determine safety of the end product. We are periodically subject to audits of our production processes from the European Community, through the Chile and US National Fish Service, through periodical audits of the FDA and because of constant visits of our clients. We also produce under Kosher OU certification.
The importance of craftsmanship, the patience to wait for the adequate maturation, the quality of our raw material; at the tranquility of our 10,000 square metre facilities we achieve anchovy fillets with the aroma and taste so well-known by our clients, the majority with us from the beginning.
